Green needs a longer, steadier firing to hold its tone, so fewer of these leave the kiln than the warmer colours.
A temple set, made light
Glossy green ovals in beaded gold frames lead to a kemp-studded lotus, and below it a pierced gold medallion worked in red and green stones. Red-banded jhumkas with green studs match.
The medallion's open filigree is cut by hand while the clay is leather-hard — slow work that shows in the shadows it throws.
Green, red and old gold — the full temple palette in a mid-length drape. No nickel, no lead, no plating; adjustable dori.
Wears well with: green and maroon silk; strong against mustard. Care: perfume first, dry cloth only, store in its pouch.
- Necklace and matching earrings included
- Kemp-stone work with hand-painted gold detail
- Adjustable cotton dori, fits 14″–26″
- Comes in a cotton pouch and gift box
Looking after terracotta
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Keep away from water, perfume and hairspray. Store each piece in its own pouch or box so painted surfaces do not rub. Terracotta is fired clay — it is sturdy in daily wear but will not survive a hard drop on stone floors.
Delivery and returns
Ready-to-ship pieces leave us within 2–4 days and arrive in 5–7 days across India. Made-to-order custom sets take about four weeks from confirmation. International orders add 7–14 days. Damaged-in-transit pieces are replaced free — send us an unboxing photo within 48 hours.
Six days, start to finish
Natural river clay is wedged by hand and shaped without moulds, sun-dried for two days, then kiln-fired at high heat for 8 hours. Non-toxic acrylic and metallic paints are applied by hand and kemp stones are set one at a time. No two pieces are identical.
